I simply cannot compare this book to other ones I've read because this book is original and is written as a story for children that ended being one of the greatest stories of all times like The Lord of the Rings series is, and that one is the only  books I think of that this book could be compared to. Now that I think deeply it could be also compared to Narnia series because of the sense of heroism, epic adventure, magic, and was also written by a middle class English man like C.S. Lewis. Ant if the book would make a good movie, well obiously yes, the first part already exists and I'm very exited to see the second part, and be able to spoil the final to my friends. Well and about the first one while I was reading the book I noticed that it is exactly the same as the book, even some lines were the same as in the book and that was very cool.

In this entry I will answer the simple question of how the title relates to the book, and it does in all the ways possible. Our main character is a hobbit, the title of the book, and he is the only hobbit that does somthing singnificant in the story, in this case being the main character. The book could be called the story of Bilbo Baggins and it would have made complete sense.

Hobbits:  the importance of hobbits is not known, but Tolkien said that the nature of hobbits was based on the rural, middle-class English man. I think that he wants to show how an apparently weak man can be brave enough to do this great quest, and that is heroism. So if we combine both ideas I think that what Tolkien, which was a middle-class English man, wants to say is that common people can have a hero inside.

I just readed a main conflict of the story plot and it is Bilbo finding the ring that later on will become crucial in the story. He found it in a dark cave that was owned by goblis, but in that part of the cave the famous Gollum also lived. After a confrontation with Gollum, Bilbo escaped the cave by using the power of the ring and then meet the compan outside the cave, because they accidentaly left him back.

If this story happened in another time or place it simply would not exist. There is somthing about the magic of Middle Earth that makes this story great. Really imagine trolls and dwarves fighting in modern times, or even real medieval times, it would be impossible for it to make sense. Like the fanboy of The Lord of the Rings that I'm I really think the great and rich world of  Middle Earth is perfect for this epic and magic adventure to take place.

As the story moves forward we can already see the little hobbit change a little about what he was before, is is braver and acctualy have help the dwarves to scape from some trolls that wanted to eat them. You can also notice how much he misses his home but I aks think that that feeling will soon fade away with the progress of the character.

Bilbo Baggins -  The hero of the story. Bilbo is a hobbit, “a short, human-like person.”  Bilbo has a quiet life in a hole at Bag End and, like most hobbits, is happy to stay at home. But Bilbo has a great  inner strength, and when Gandalf convinces Bilbo to join a group of dwarves on a quest to reclaim their gold from a dragon, Bilbo ends up playing a crucial role as the company’s burglar.

I decided to read this story because I have read and watched a million times "The Lord of the Rings" series, and I have turned into a great fan of it. Other reason could be that the movies are coming out, and I like the challange of ending a book before the movie comes out.
